Shelter Tour

Project Hope Check in
When Project Hope guests arrive at the shelter each evening, they must pass through a check-in area. Everyone is treated with love and respect, with the knowledge that everything done at Project Hope is to keep people safe and focused on their goals.
Fellowship Area
Each night, area churches, businesses and schools prepare dinner for 40 people that is dropped off at Project Hope ready to serve. Three or four dedicated, trained volunteers serve dinner to the guests each night in the fellowship area, and everyone enjoys time together. Following dinner, the fellowship area is used for evening programming, which can include Bible study and praise music, hair cuts, therapy dogs, general health information or a service-related program from a partner agency.
Washer & Dryer
Donated by the Western Reserve Junior Service League, the front-loading, high-energy washer and dryer have saved Project Hope time, money and in-kind goods, by being able to better utilize donations. On average, Project Hope staff members wash more than 45 loads of towels, washclothes and bed linens each week.

Family Bathroom
A private bathroom for families with children to use, the family bathroom includes a bathtub, whereas the mens and womens bathrooms are showers-only.
Women's Bathroom

This room provides families with some privacy while at Project Hope. Parents and children have a separate area, away from individuals, in which to sleep and spend time with their children while staying at Project Hope.

Men's room
Dormitory-type setting for individual male guests of the shelter. Each guest can stay up to 90 days, and can keep all of their belongings at the shelter during the day in a clear plastic bin.
RS office
Each week, guests meet with a residential specialist, a highly-trained staff member who often has social service work experience, to set several goals that will help them leave Project Hope for a better quality life. The RS not only helps them set these goals, but also makes referrals to other agencies in the community that provide needed services.
